                                TOPIC 1 : Getting Ready To Learn

Making transition from Highschool to University

This is comparison between Highschool and University
Skills required for successful transition

In University you need to take your own responsibility for your self management to become more independent.
 
  • Understanding your strengths and your weaknesses.
  • Improve your time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze.
  • Ability to think what your goals are in your future.
Learning Styles

        
                                



Visual 
  • Prefer learning material by reading and looking at illustrations, PowerPoints, articles and many more.
Auditory
  • Like understanding and memory by hearing and listening. Examples; hearing one on one conversations, oral presentations, group discussions and many more.
Kinesthetic
  • Those who learn better involving movement of their bodies. Examples; role-playing, note taking and hands on activity.


                                        TOPIC 2: Time Management

                                     



  Time management is important in our lives to set goals of what we want to achieve that day. It can also benefit students to manage time wisely.

Advantages Of Being Organised Your Time.
  • Reduse stress.
  • Complete your assignments with less pressure.
  • Build you confidence about your ability goals to cope.
  • Avoid sending your assignments late and last minute making work.
Organizing skills to manage time.
  • Time management.
  • Daily planning.
  • Think about your goals.
  • Continue your schedule.
Procastination
- Due to procastination can cause students to make last minute assignments and not have time to complete the assignments.


                                 
                       
Why students procrastination:
  • Not planning their time.
  • Overscheduling.
  • Waiting for place, time or their mood to work.
Self -strategy for overcoming procrastination.
  • Set your own priorities on yourself.
  • Schedule your personal tasks.
  • Avoid overscheduling.

Three ability to critical thinking.
  • Critical thinking require to asking questions.
  • Critical thinking require trying to answer those of questions by their own reason.
  • Critical thinking require believing the results of your reasons.
Some characteristics of critical thinkers.
  • Ask questions.
  • Open minded.
  • Fair minded.
  • Reflective.
  • Interested in solving some problems.
  • Think before acting hastily.
